The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the Iranian city of Mashhad has been decorated with beautiful tile and mosaic patterns.

Born in the holy city of Madinah, Imam Reza (AS) is the eighth Muslim Imam. His venerated shrine is located in the northeast Iranian city of Mashhad.

Mashhad was selected as the Cultural Capital of the Muslim World for 2017 during the 7th conference of the ISESCO member states in the Algerian capital city of Algiers in 2007.
